KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

Glen Burridge, European Federation of Geologists, United Kingdom

In 2019, Glen became the European Federation of Geologist’s Executive Director, responsible for delivering the strategic objectives of the organisation, management of its Brussels Secretariat and relationship with its 26 national association members.

Corinne Gendron, Université du Québec à Montréal, Canada

Corinne Gendron is a Franco-Quebec academic and researcher, lawyer, MBA and sociologist, specialised in new forms of economic regulation and sustainable development. She has contributed, through numerous scientific publications, to research on the institutionalization process of social movements, on social acceptability and on the evolution of the firm as a social institution. She has been an additional member of the Bureau d’audiences publiques sur l’environnement (BAPE) since 2011, and was a member of the Quebec government’s Strategic Environmental Assessment Committee on shale gas. Elected member of the French Academy of Technologies in 2014, Corinne Gendron was elevated to the rank of Chevalier de l’Ordre national de la Légion d’honneur by the French Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research in 2015. Finally, she was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada in 2019.

Fabrice Lemoine, Université de Lorraine, France

Fabrice Lemoine is researcher in mechanics and energy, particularly hydrogen and fuel cells, at the Laboratory of Energies Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (LEMTA – Université de Lorraine). He was coordinator of the Lorraine Université d’Excellence socio-economic challenge “ULHyS” dedicated to hydrogen-energy. He is also member of the organising committee of the National Alliance for the Coordination of Energy Research, and currently vice-president of the University of Lorraine in charge of the European strategy.

Samuele Furfari, Free University of Brussels, Belgium

Dr. Samuel Furfari is a recognized authority on energy policy based in Brussels. Between 1982 and 2018, he was a senior official on energy policy in the European Commission. For 15 years he is a professor of energy geopolitics and energy politics at the Free University of Brussels.

Vitaliy Pryvalov, Donetsk National University, Ukraine

Vitaliy was welcomed at the Université de Lorraine via the national PAUSE program for scientists in exile in the context of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia
